Introducing new ways to connect with Asia’s AM industry this August
Formnext Asia Shenzhen 2026 will open up new ways to connect with Asia’s AM industry this August, with matched meetings for overseas channel partners, expanded showcases and sessions on the business behind desktop AM, open-mic Maker Day discussions and factory tours, and the debut of the International 3D Printing Footwear Design Awards.
Held at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center from 26 – 28 August 2026, the fair will bring additive manufacturing suppliers, application users and industry communities within easy reach of South China’s AM, hardware manufacturing and technology supply chains.
The edition will feature over 300 exhibitors showcasing AM equipment, materials, software, post-processing, inspection, services and application solutions, connecting visitors with suppliers and business networks serving manufacturing, consumer, medical, automotive and other industries throughout Asia and beyond.

At Formnext Asia Shenzhen 2026, the newly upgraded China 3D Print Farm and Consumer-Grade AM Ecosystem Conference will examine the business models developing around desktop AM, from AI-assisted design and intelligent production to cross-border e-commerce and printed-product businesses.
Application-focused sessions will cover product development, small-batch production and consumer applications. A dedicated exhibition area will feature printers, materials and software from Bambu Lab, Creality, Elegoo, Flashforge, Meshy AI, Snapmaker, Tripo AI and more.

See what’s next in 3D printed footwear
|
New for 2026, Formnext Asia Shenzhen will host the 1st International 3D Printing Footwear Design Awards, recognising 3D printed footwear not only for technical execution, but for fit, comfort, performance and wearability.
The awards will cover footwear design, brands, printers, materials and special categories such as sustainability and cultural impact, with entries recognised across FDM, DLP/LCD, SLM and MJF/SLS processes. Finalists will be presented during the fair, with the awards ceremony taking place on 27 August 2026.
Organised in collaboration with the Hong Kong 3D Printing Association and SYNBOTRON, the awards will be judged by specialists from across the footwear and AM industries. The judging committee will be chaired by Nicoline van Enter, founder of Footwearology and a world-renowned innovation strategist with 30 years of experience in footwear technology, alongside judge Philippe Holthuizen, whose Hong Kong-based brand FUSED footwear designs and produces fully 3D printed sneakers.

Also new this year, Formnext Asia Shenzhen Maker Day invites global makers, 3D printing enthusiasts and product developers to connect with Shenzhen’s desktop AM and hardware community on 27 August.
The programme includes the Maker Open Mic community forum, a Maker Tour of relevant exhibitors and Desktop & Maker Technology Factory Tours to leading Greater Bay Area desktop 3D printing manufacturers.
Formnext Asia Shenzhen Maker Day is co-organised with TroubleMaker, a Shenzhen-based hardware venture platform for makers and product developers.
