HP Expands into Industrial Filament 3D Printing

HP Additive Manufacturing Solutions (HP AM) has announced an expansion of its industrial manufacturing portfolio with the launch of HP Industrial Filament 3D Printer Solutions, a strategic move aimed at opening new applications and addressing new market spaces.

According to HP, the expansion is driven by growing demand for production-grade filament solutions capable of supporting high-value applications across industries such as aerospace, automotive, medical, oil and gas, railway, and education.

The new filament portfolio is designed to broaden HP's ability to serve diverse industrial needs—from engineering and high-temperature materials to precision components and large-format parts—while helping manufacturers lower cost per part and accelerate time to market.

Built on an open materials platform and supported by HP's global service network, the portfolio is positioned to give manufacturers flexibility to innovate with a wide range of polymers while maintaining industrial-grade performance.

HP confirmed the first system, the HP Industrial Filament 3D Printer 600 High Temperature, is planned for availability in 2026, followed by the HP Industrial Filament 3D Printer 1000 XL for large-format production.

Manufacturers interested in HP's approach to industrial filament printing can learn more or connect with HP to discuss potential applications.
